Knees are the biggest and strongest joints in your body.
We use them almost constantly every part of the day to sit, stand, walk, jump and bend. Our knees bear 80% of our body weight when we stand still.
It bears 150% when we walk across our rooms.
When we do not protect our knees, age, injury and repeated motion might damage our knees and lead to osteoarthritis and other common types of knee issues.
Some tips to protect our knees
• Move your knees
The continuous movement of an active lifestyle keeps our joints lubricated. It helps to build leg muscles that can support our knees and decrease pain. Consider low-impact activities like walking or swimming.
• Hydration
One symptom of dehydration can be joint pain. The flexible tissue in our joints consists of 80% water. Thus, drink 2-3 liters a day to provide nourishment and to help reduce mechanical stress to your knee cartilage.
• Nutrition
Proper nutrition through a diet full of vitamins and minerals is important for bone health. Your diet can include vitamins C, D and K and calcium.
And lastly the safest tip is to get help. Early diagnosis is crucial to prevent permanent damage. Please consult your doctor if you experience any persistent, sharp or localized pain and/or swelling.
Another tip is... If you are feeling lower back discomfort or pain , that will also cause knee pain in the future. Go to a physiotherapist or a chiropractor and fix yourself as soon as possible!
I hope this email is beneficial for you. Please take care of your health and always stay happy. All the Best and See you Soon!
