How to prevent varicose veins?


1. Fitness matters!

It is important to exercise frequently to ensure that our leg muscles are well taken care of. Moreover, it aids in ensuring that our blood flows well. Keeping our weight controlled prevents excess pressure build-up on the veins of our legs and feet.


2. Attire matters!

Tight clothing constraints circulation in our legs. It leaves our blood stagnant and can worsen varicose veins. Tight clothes also put added pressure on our abdomen area. Eventually, that pressure travels down to our legs which ultimately acts as an obstacle hindering our blood flow.

Next, it is not advisable to wear high heels for long periods of time. It is recommended to wear flat or low heel shoes. They are better for circulation as they improve our calf muscle tone.


3. rest your buttocks! (but not too Long)

Prevent sitting or standing for long periods of time to encourage your blood flow. If your job requires you to be on your feet constantly, please consider wearing elastic stockings which offers mild compression for your legs. Moreover, please exercise your legs as frequently as possible to increase circulation and reduce pressure buildup.
