why we don't need gyms


Do you know what is the first thing that pushes us to exercise? It is our mindset and our willpower. The truth is that we don't need someone or a place to motivate us to strive to give the best that we have. Before pushing ourselves, we need to start asking ourselves, "Why are we doing this?".


For example, if you want to be a professional footballer like Cristiano Ronaldo or you want to be the best footballer in Singapore, that is the Why and that is the reason behind your dedication. If you set your Why right, the commitment will flow out of you endlessly. How hungry are you to achieve your goal? Your dedication and commitment is enough to push you towards your achievement. We don't need a gym membership so that we will be forced to exercise every week because we don't want our payment to go to waste.


The truth is that we don't need a treadmill. We have the liberty of space to run near our homes. We have so many facilities near us that are free to use but a gym with $1.000 membership per month seems like a better option. It does not make me happy to say this but it is the truth that many of us are not willing to hear. Therefore, set your Why right and you will be committed to push yourself everyday without someone or a gym forcing you to.
